Patrick played baseball at Bevill State Community College before transitioning to coaching. He spent four seasons coaching at the high school and collegiate level. He has also coached youth and travel teams ranging from t-ball to college summer leagues. He is currently a head coach with the Jeffersontown Strike organization.
